Terroir: This appellation is a story in itself. Located between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, Hameau de Blagny lies on land that the Cistercian monks already prized in the 12th century. Facing due east at an altitude of 320 metres, the soil is clay and limestone and abounds in stones so boasts good drainage.
Cultivation method: Lutte raisonnée with tillage
Harvesting: Grapes are hand-picked into perforated crates and sorted by hand
Fermentation: Fermentation in vats.
Maturation: Between 12 and 15 months in oak barrels (30% new barrels)
Wine tasting: Complex nose with floral (hawthorn, verbena), fruity (lemongrass) and milky notes (brioche), and a mineral palate.
Food match: Bresse chicken, fish dishes with sauce, cheeses.
Serving temperature: 12 to 14°C
